Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring muscle while not giving stress to an experimental animal during measurement by utilizing the instinctive behavior of the experimental animal such as a mouse or a rat.SOLUTION: The method for measuring the muscle of a subject includes: a step of engaging the subject and a muscle measuring member by a connection member in order to measure the muscle of four limbs while reducing the stress to be given to an animal which is the subject; a step of introducing the subject into a cylindrical member for housing the subject; and a step for measuring the muscle of the subject by moving the subject in the cylindrical member to the opposite side of the muscle measuring member. The muscle measurement device of the subject includes: the cylindrical member for housing the subject; the muscle measuring member for measuring the muscle of the subject; and the connection member for engaging the subject and the muscle measuring member.
