Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent reduction in packet loss and throughput by communicating traffic between virtual machines on the same physical host without congestion, without deterioration in resource use efficiency of the physical host under a virtual machine environment.SOLUTION: A network traffic control device measures a traffic amount received by a virtual machine from the outside of a physical host in units of flows specifying in any combination of an identifier and an address, predicts the flow that possibly produces congestion from the measured traffic amount for each flow, and notifies a transmission source host of the flow of the congestion related to the flow.
