Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an information storage medium and information reading device which can reduce the misrecognition of stored information. [Solution] This information processing system (1) is provided with an information storage medium (2) and an information reading device (3). The information storage medium (2) comprises a two-dimensional array of unit data units (11). Marks (13) for forming digital codes are provided in the array of unit data units (11), and the X-direction mark patterns for pairs of unit data unit rows adjacent in the Y direction are different from each other. The information reading device (3) detects the marks (13) for each row of unit data units, generates rows of data, and reads out digital codes on the basis of the group of rows of data generated for each row of unit data units. The information reading device (3) is provided with a second detection unit (22) which is operated by the information storage medium (2) and outputs a control signal for controlling the digital code reading operation, and the information reading device (3) generates a row of data only if a control signal is inputted from the second detection unit (22).
