Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter tank which can effectively and easily remove pollutants in water to be treated and decontaminate radioactive materials therein.SOLUTION: A filter cylinder 13 whose upper end is opened is stored in an erected state in an outer cylinder 10 which has a bottom and whose upper end opening part can be closed with a lid. Water to be treated flows into an inflow space 15 provided between the filter cylinder 13 and the outer cylinder 10 from an inflow port 27 formed in a side wall of the outer cylinder 10. An outflow port 30 is located at a position lower than that of the inflow port 27, and a water intake port 17 is formed in the lower side of the filter cylinder 13. A second filter material layer 25 and a first filter material layer 22 are provided respectively above and below a plate-like support member 20 arranged in the filter cylinder 13. The water to be treated flowing in from the inflow port 27 is introduced from the water intake port 17 into the filter cylinder 13 to rise therein, pollutants are removed by the first filter material layer 22, and radioactive materials are adsorbed by the second filter material layer 25. Treated water is discharged through the outflow port 30.
