Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new chabazite type zeolite having copper and an alkali metal at its ion exchange site, a NOx reduction removal catalyst comprising the zeolite, and a method for reducing and removing NOx using the catalyst.SOLUTION: The chabazite type zeolite having copper and an alkali metal at its ion exchange site can be produced by producing a chabazite type zeolite, converting it to proton type, supporting copper, and subsequently supporting an alkali metal. This chabazite type zeolite exhibits a more excellent catalytic performance than a conventional chabazite type zeolite catalyst on which only copper is supported.
