Abstract:
One drive unit (20) is provided at the bottom of a carriage body (10), and special universal caster wheels (100) are provided on the bottom front side and bottom rear side of a carriage. The special universal caster wheel (100) has an omniwheel (110) and an electromagnetic brake (130) that restricts the rotation of a wheel body. During backward traveling, the rear-side special universal caster wheels (100) travel by the rotation of barrel-shaped rollers (113) and are steered by the rotation of the wheel body (112), and the front-side special universal caster wheels (100) travel by the rotation of the barrel-shaped rollers (113) and are not steered by restricting the rotation of the wheel body (112) by the electromagnetic brake (130). Consequently, even in an automated guided vehicle (1-1) provided with the one drive unit (20), good backward traveling performance can be obtained.
