Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dynamo-electric machine which can be machined easily and manufactured inexpensively.SOLUTION: A dynamo-electric machine includes a rotor core 3 attached to a shaft 1, a permanent magnet embedded in the rotor core 3 while exposing the axial end to the axial end face of the rotor core 3, an end plate 4 disposed at the axial end face of the rotor core 3 and regulating axial movement of the permanent magnet, and a fixing member 5 for fixing the end plate 4 to the shaft 1. At least one of a pair of end plates 4 provided at both end faces of the rotor core 3 is composed of a thin magnetic material, where the thickness at a part facing the permanent magnet is thinner than a bridge distance, i.e., the shortest distance between the outer peripheral surface of the rotor core 3 and the permanent magnet, the thickness near the shaft 1 of the fixing member 5 corresponding to the end plate 4 is set thicker than that of the end plate 4, and irregularities consisting of recesses 4a for forming a space are provided at a part of end plate 4 facing the permanent magnet.
