Abstract:
The method involves entering a target value for an actual paving thickness into an automatic closed-loop control system (25). Control signals are communicated to actuators (10', 28') to control the actual paving thickness to the target value and to optimize an operating point of a pre-compaction system (13). One of the control signals is transferred by the actuators in the form of remote-controlled transmission to adjust the eccentricity for a tamper stroke produced by an eccentric drive during the laying process. An independent claim is also included for a road finisher for controlling process of laying a layer of paving material in a selectable paving thickness on a level surface.
