Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosetting resin composition which is excellent in flow property in molding, and can provide a molded article which has good gloss and flame retardance satisfying a level required in vehicle members for automobile or railroad and building materials.SOLUTION: The thermosetting resin composition contains a thermosetting resin selected from the group consisting of unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resin; a polymerizable unsaturated monomer; aluminum hydroxide; a phosphorous flame retarder; and a fiber reinforcing material. The content of the aluminum hydroxide is 300-550 pts.wt. relative to 100 pts.wt. in total of the thermosetting resin and the polymerizable unsaturated monomer, and the content of the phosphorous flame retarder is 0.1-0.5 wt.%, in terms of phosphor, relative to the total weight of the thermosetting resin composition. The aluminum hydroxide has an average particle size (D) of 2-7 μm, and has at least one peak each before and after the average particle size (D) in a weight-based frequency distribution.
