PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station system which can reduce power consumption by letting a user recognize an amount of consumed power.SOLUTION: A base station system 500 comprises a base station configured to be able to wirelessly communicate with at least one user terminal. The base station system 500 comprises: a communication quality parameter acquisition unit 501 for acquiring a communication quality parameter which has influence on quality of wireless communication between the base station and the user terminal; a wireless communication control unit 502 for controlling wireless communication between the base station and the user terminal on the basis of the acquired communication quality parameter; a power consumption amount acquisition unit 503 for acquiring an amount of power consumed by the base station in performing wireless communication between the base station and the user terminal; and a power consumption amount information transmission unit 504 for transmitting power consumption amount information indicating the acquired power consumption amount to the user terminal.
