Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purification device more effectively utilizing properties of a photocatalyst by the irradiation of ultraviolet rays.SOLUTION: A purification device includes: purification bodies; a container for making water adhere to a part of each purification body; a light source irradiating the purification bodies with ultraviolet rays; power sources rotationally moving or parallel-moving the purification bodies; and a blower sending air toward the purification bodies. The purification body has: a plurality of plate-like members in each of which a part or all of the surface is coated with a photocatalyst; and a rotary shaft rotationally moving or parallel-moving the plurality of plate-like members. The purification device evaporates the water having adhered to the plate-like members by the air sent from the blower while rotationally moving or parallelly moving the plurality of plate-like members, and purifies the air humidified by the mixing of water vapor with the air through a purification action of the photocatalyst activated by the irradiation of the ultraviolet rays.
