Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery module which allows for manufacturing cost reduction by reducing the number of components and the assembly man-hours.SOLUTION: A battery module 10 includes a battery assembly 12 and a bus bar module 20. In the bus bar module 20, bus bars for connecting the adjoining unit cells 14 of the battery assembly 12 in series, a battery monitoring IC 50 for monitoring the state of the unit cells 14, and terminals for connecting the bus bars and the battery monitoring IC 50 are integrated with an insulation member 80 made of resin by insert molding. The bus bars are terminal integrated bus bars 21-26 integrally having the terminals for connection with the bus bars, and the terminals of the bus bars 21-26 are connected with the battery monitoring IC 50. The terminals of the terminal integrated bus bars 21-26, and the connections of the terminals 60, 62 for respective signals and the battery monitoring IC 50 are covered with the insulation member 80.
