Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified, energy saving charge/discharge apparatus system.SOLUTION: A charge/discharge apparatus comprises: a three-phase AC transformer 9; a regenerative converter 4; and a step-up/down converter 8. The three-phase AC transformer 9 is connected at a primary side thereof to a three-phase commercial AC power source PS. The number of wound at the primary side of the three-phase AC transformer 9 is more than the number of wound at the secondary side thereof. The regenerative converter 4, in an off state of all plurality of switches, rectifies and smooths a three-phase AC voltage V'-V' generated at the secondary side of the three-phase transformer 9, and provides it between two DC lines LP and LN, and switching a plurality of switches, so as to convert a DC voltage V3 generated between the two DC lines LP and LN into a three-phase AC voltage and provides it to the secondary side of the three-phase AC transformer 9. The step-up/down converter 8, in a charging state, operates as a step-down converter having a secondary battery 1 as an output, and in a discharge state, the step-up/down converter 8 operates as a step-up converter having the secondary battery 1 as an input.
