Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell stack in which the shunt current loss can be reduced.SOLUTION: A cell stack 200 is configured by stacking a plurality of cell frames 120, positive electrodes 104, ion-exchange membranes 101, and negative electrodes 105. The cell frame has a passage for positive electrode electrolyte and a passage for negative electrode electrolyte becoming, respectively, the passages for positive electrode electrolyte and negative electrode electrolyte, and passages for electrolyte each consist of an inlet slit and an outlet slit, respectively. The cell stack is configured so that the structure of the passage for electrolyte of each cell frame is different from each other, when comparing a cell frame located on the center side and a cell frame located on the end side, and the electrical resistance in the passage for electrolyte increases from the cell frame located in the center toward the cell frame located at the end.
