Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of automatically controlling backlight correction, without requiring the burden work, that is, previously storing a backlight correction value corresponding to the angle of a swivel.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a camera part imaging an object and outputting an image signal; a magnetic sensor part detecting a direction where the camera part faces; a swivel control part controlling the swivel for rotating the camera part and calculating the direction of the sun based on time information, to detect that the direction where the camera part faces which is detected by the magnetic sensor part is in a backlight state, based on the calculated direction of the sun; and a backlight correction processing part performing backlight correction processing for the image signal outputted from the camera part, when it is detected by the swivel control part that the direction where the camera part faces is in the backlight state.
