Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means which suppresses adsorption of chlorpheniramine or its salt to a soft contact lens, and an ophthalmic composition for a soft contact lens wearer using the means and comprising chlorpheniramine or its salt.SOLUTION: The ophthalmic composition for a soft contact lens wearer contains: (A) chlorpheniramine maleate by 0.006 to 0.1 g/100 mL; (B) dipotassium glycyrrhizinate by 0.05 to 1.0 g/100 mL; (C) sodium chondroitin sulfate ester by 0.05 to 1.0 g/100 mL; (D) one or two kinds selected from sodium chloride and potassium chloride by 0.2 to 1.5 g/100 mL; and (E) one or two kinds selected from boric acid and borax by 1.2 to 1.8 g/100 mL, does not contain quaternary cation type antiseptic agent, paraben, chlorobutanol and sorbic acid, and has a pH of 6.6 to 7.3.
