Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image color distribution inspection device and method capable of acquiring color information faithful and accurate to human eyes and of inspecting hue and the like from the color information with accuracy.SOLUTION: An image color distribution inspection device comprises an imaging device having three spectral sensitivities (S(λ), S(λ), and S(λ)) linearly transformed equivalently to a CIE XYZ color-matching function. Normalized first chromaticity diagram distribution for a region of interest in a first image acquired by the imaging device is generated, and normalized second chromaticity diagram distribution for a region of interest in a second image acquired by the imaging device is generated. The first chromaticity diagram distribution and the second chromaticity diagram distribution are compared with each other. An overlapped region of the first chromaticity diagram distribution and the second chromaticity diagram distribution is detected. A first number of pixels in the region of interest is detected, and a second number of pixels in the region of interest is detected. A proportion of the second number of pixels to the first number of pixels is calculated.
