Abstract:
An endoscope system including: an image pickup device (21) that picks up an optical image transmitted by a fiber bundle (13); a video signal output section (28) that outputs a video signal generated by the image pickup device (21); a video processor (30) that processes the video signal; a video signal reception section (29) provided in the video processor (30); a connection detection section (36) that detects connection of the video signal output section (28) to the video processor (30); a moiré elimination section (34) that eliminates moiré in the video signal; and a control section (37) that causes the moiré elimination section (34) to perform processing when the connection of the video signal output section (28) is detected.
