Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outboard motor which can cool a speed changer with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: In an outboard motor 10, a speed changer intervenes between an engine and a propeller shaft, and a gear change case 61 of the speed changer is arranged below the engine. In the outboard motor 10, a coolant outlet 128 is provided above the gear change case 61, and a coolant storage unit 72 is provided above an upper unit 67b of an upper gear change case 67. The coolant outlet 128 is an opening for discharging the coolant which has cooled the engine. The coolant storage unit 72 is a unit which is provided at a position facing to the coolant outlet 128 in the upper unit 67b of the upper gear change case 67 and stores the coolant.
