Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the capability to instantaneously warm up a vehicle battery in a low-temperature environment.SOLUTION: A battery heater device for heating a battery module made up of a plurality of aligned battery cells comprises: an outer heater wire for heating the battery cells aligned on the outer side of the battery module; an inner heater wire for heating the battery cells aligned on the inner side of the battery module; and a controller which supplies power to both of the outer heater wire and the inner heater wire until a predetermined point of time after the start of heating, and reduces the power supply to the inner heater wire after the predetermined point of time.
