PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proxy DNS server having a cache function achieving both cache and data addition for ensuring the consistency of DNS responses.SOLUTION: A proxy DNS server determines the necessity of addition data from a DNS query, transfers the DNS query to another DNS server when necessary without referring to a cache, and refers to a cache when not necessary and transfers the DNS query to the another DNS server as appropriate.
