Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide two on-vehicle cameras being driven by a rolling shutter method and capable of measuring the distance from a vehicle to an object accurately.SOLUTION: Two on-vehicle cameras according to an embodiment, each having imaging elements arranged in matrix and being driven by an XY address reading method for sequentially releasing the shutter from the head row toward the final row while having a predetermined deviation time in the shutter time between adjoining rows are disposed in a vehicle so that the center line between cameras connecting the centers of two on-vehicle cameras is perpendicular to the road surface, the row direction of each imaging element is parallel with the center line between cameras, and the direction from the head row toward the final row matches each other.
