Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water level detection method capable of achieving highly accurate water level detection for a long period of time without spending a large cost.SOLUTION: A water level detection method detects water level in a water storage container 5 by using a pressure sensor 21 of a diaphragm type which is connected to a drain flow passage 16 of the water storage container 5 via an air trap 19 and an air tube 20. This method includes: a step of draining water in the water storage container 5 through the drain flow passage 16; a step of acquiring an output value of the pressure sensor 21 as a first reference value when the drainage is completed; a step of supplying water into the water storage container 5 at least until the water in the water storage container 5 overflows; a step of acquiring an output value of the pressure sensor 21 as a second reference value when the water supply to the water storage container 5 is stopped and the overflow stops; and a step of calculating the water level of the water storage container 5 from the output value of the pressure sensor 21 on the basis of the first reference value and the second reference value.
