Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device capable of achieving both elongation of a time period until a user sets a document and starts reading and reduction in a waiting time for a user of another job.SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: reading means reading an image of a document; storage means storing data on the readout image; execution detection means detecting an execution instruction of another job; setting means, in a next document waiting state for waiting a reading start instruction of a next document, setting a first time-out time as a time-out time in the case where the execution detection means detects no execution instruction of another job, and setting a second time-out time shorter than the first time-out time as the time-out time in the case where the execution detection means detects the execution instruction of another job; and output means performing output depending on the image data stored in the storage means or on another job detected by the execution detection means when the time reaches the time-out time set by the setting means.
