Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve assembly facilitating assembling work, and having high flexibility in an installation location, high operating stability of a valve element in an open state, and high sealing performance in a fully closed state.SOLUTION: A valve assembly includes a butterfly valve 42 having a valve shaft 420 and a valve element 421, and a housing having a gas passage A storing the valve element 421. The valve element 421 has a ring groove 421a at an outer peripheral edge thereof. The valve assembly includes a seal ring 43 which is disposed in the ring groove, and elastically deformable in the radial direction. The gas passage A has a sheet surface (a) having a partially reverse spherical shape, with which the seal ring 43 slidably contacts when the valve element 421 rotates.
