Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubrication control device that prevents deterioration in running stability of a vehicle when there is a difference in driving force due to difference in stirring resistance between in-wheel motor units of right and left wheels.SOLUTION: If the oil levels of right and left in-wheel motor units are different in a high vehicle speed range (VSP≥VSP1) in which the oil stirring resistance exceeds an acceptable level, the difference in oil stirring resistance between right and left wheels increases, and eventually, running stability of a vehicle deteriorates due to the large difference in driving force between the right and left wheels. Therefore, in the high vehicle speed range (VSP≥VSP1), oil pumps of the right and left in-wheel motor units are each driven and controlled such that the oil pumping quantity Q is maintained at a constant flow rate Qconst corresponding to the oil quantity required by the unit. Consequently, it allows the oil levels of the right and left in-wheel motor units to be continuously maintained at the same level, and accordingly, it achieves the same oil stirring resistance in the right and left in-wheel motor units, thereby preventing the difference in driving force between the right and left wheels. As a result, deterioration in running stability can be prevented.
