Abstract:
With M [g] denoting the sum mass of a piston (5) and a shoe, Mref [g] denoting the sum mass of the shoe and a virtually solid piston filled without gaps with a material constituting the outer peripheral surface of a mating part (106) in the volume enclosed by the outer surface of the piston (5), L [mm] denoting the distance from the center of a spherical part (105) to the barycenter of a piston assembly including the piston (5) and the shoe, and Lref [mm] denoting the distance from the center of the spherical part of the virtually solid piston to the barycenter of a virtually solid piston assembly including the virtually solid piston and the shoe; the relationship 1.02 < (L/Lref) / [(M/Mref)0.7] < 1.20 is satisfied. This makes it possible to suppress scorching of the piston and a piston chamber, and to achieve faster operation.
