Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wrong density information to be acquired from a test pattern.SOLUTION: An edge in an orthogonal direction of the test pattern, which orthogonally intersects with a reading direction, is inclined with respect to the reading direction. If there is a discontinuous part in a change of the edge position in the orthogonal direction along the reading direction obtained from a reading result of the test pattern (S202:YES), it is determined that a part of the test pattern was not read, and density information of the part which was not read is interpolated (S203). If there is a part in which a position in the orthogonal direction is not changed in the edge obtained from the reading result of the test pattern (S204:YES), it is determined that a part of the test pattern is redundantly read, and density information of the part which was redundantly read is replaced by an average value of the density information which is redundantly read (S205), and the density information redundantly obtained is deleted (S206).
