Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery in which thermal runaway is prevented.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 1 is provided including an exterior member, an electrode group 3 including a cathode and an anode, a nonaqueous electrolyte, and a gas generating member 10. The gas generating member 10 includes a gas generating agent 10b and a sealing container 10a having the gas generating agent 10b sealed therein and releases a gas in a range of 100-250°C. The gas generating agent 10b contains an alkanolamine solution which has absorbed a gas.
