Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance electric heating type catalyst.SOLUTION: An electric heating type catalyst 10 comprises a substrate 11 and ground layers 12 provided on a side surface of the substrate. The electric heating type catalyst 10 is provided with a pair of electrodes 16 arranged so as to be opposite to each other through the substrate 11. The electric heating type catalyst 10 also has a fixing layer 13 which fixes the electrodes 16 to the ground layers 12. In each of the electrodes 16, there are provided a plurality of ground layers 12 arranged along the axial direction, or Z direction, of the substrate 11.
