Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copper foil for graphene production that enables low-cost production of high quality graphene having a large area, and a method for producing graphene using the same.SOLUTION: The copper foil 10 for graphene production has a surface roughness Rz of ≤0.5 μm, has ≥60% of (111) faces in a surface thereof, and comprises a Cu plating layer and/or a sputtered Cu layer. The method for producing graphene 20 includes a graphene forming step in which the copper foil 10 for graphene production is heated and disposed in a predetermined chamber, and hydrogen gas and a carbon-containing gas are supplied to form graphene on the surface of the copper plating layer of the copper foil 10 for graphene production, and a graphene transfer step in which a transfer sheet is laminated on the surface of the graphene, and while transferring the graphene onto the transfer sheet, the copper foil 10 for graphene production is etched away.
