Abstract:
Provided are a coupling and coupling assembly whereby it is possible to inhibit tube dislodgement and leakage of liquid, even in the case of a large size. A ring (70) is situated to the inside of a nut (30) and to the outside of a tube (90), and has a higher modulus of elasticity than the tube (90). The ring (70) has a modulus of elasticity that satisfies the following conditions. In a state in which a main body (20), the nut (30), and the ring (70) have been linked to the tube (90), when the ring (70) is within the elastic range, it is possible for the tube (90) to be pushed towards the diametrical inner side from the diametrical outer side due to stress of the ring (70) itself. Additionally, in a state in which the ring (70) has exceeded the elastic range, it is possible for the tube (90) to be pushed towards the diametrical inner side from the diametrical outer side, due the expanded ring (70) being pressed towards the diametrical inner side by the surface on the diametrical inner side of the nut (30).
