Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress noise caused by actuation of a switching valve for switching a flow passage of a refrigerant that is installed in a refrigerant circuit of a refrigerating apparatus.SOLUTION: A four-way selector valve is installed in a refrigerant circuit of an air conditioner which is a refrigerating apparatus. A switching valve constituting the four-way selector valve includes a valve seat having a valve seat face where four ports are open, and a valve element disposed opposite the valve seat face. The valve element rotates between a first position where a first port communicates with a third port and a second port communicates with a fourth port, and a second position where the first port communicates with the fourth port and the second port communicates with the third port. When the switching valve is in an intermediate state where the valve element is located between the first position and the second position, the third port and the fourth port communicate with both the first port and second port. A controller rotates the valve element so gradually that the switching valve remains in the intermediate state for a predetermined time when switched.
