PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine which can reduce the possibility of a radio communication device breaking down.SOLUTION: A drum type washing machine includes: an outer case (1) having an opening (1a) on the front side; a door 21 mounted on the outer case (1) and for opening/closing the opening 1a; a water tub (2) arranged in the outer case (1); a drum (3) arranged rotatably in the water tub (2) and for accommodating laundry (5); and a radio communication device (80) for performing radio communication with a communication terminal of the outer case (1). The radio communication device (80) is arranged on the rear side between an upper part of the outer case (1) and the water tub (2).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
