Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve processing performance and to reduce hardware cost at the same time.SOLUTION: A backup system constructed on a virtual infrastructure includes: a virtual volume to which at least one of a plurality of physical volumes different in performance is allocated and which is accessed by each of a plurality of virtual processing entities; and a virtual machine monitor which identifies a virtual processing entity of an access source when an access to the virtual volume is detected, and allocates a physical volume suitable to a processing kind of the identified virtual processing entity to a virtual volume.
