Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To structure a system so as to avoid writing operation into a nonvolatile memory device, prevent reliability of the nonvolatile memory device from being deteriorated and prevent data breakage of the nonvolatile memory device when the lifetime of the nonvolatile memory device is ending.SOLUTION: An information recording system has a semiconductor memory device with a nonvolatile semiconductor memory, a volatile semiconductor memory, a controller circuit, a temperature sensor and an interface circuit, and a host device for transmitting write and read commands. The nonvolatile semiconductor memory and the volatile semiconductor memory are configured to record first information designating a physical address corresponding to a logical address. The nonvolatile semiconductor memory is configured to store second to eighth pieces of information. The host device is configured to calculate the residual life of the semiconductor memory device on the basis of at least one of a plurality of pieces of information including the second to seventh pieces of information and to display the calculated residual life in a display device connected to the host device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
