Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle device which instantaneously determines whether or not fuel consumption during the travel is appropriate, and which notifies the result.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle device 1 includes: a fuel consumption acquisition unit 3 for calculating fuel consumption of a vehicle; an atmospheric pressure variation sensor 4 for always measuring an atmospheric pressure variation amount continuously during a travelling period; a vertical motion information calculation unit 5 for calculating vertical motion information of the vehicle from the atmospheric pressure variation; a road state estimation unit 6 for estimating the road state on which the vehicle travels during the travelling period from the vertical motion information; a proper fuel consumption calculation unit 7 for calculating proper fuel consumption during the travelling period which becomes a determination object on the road, based on the road state estimated by the road state estimation unit 6; an economical operation level determination unit 8 for determining an economical operation level based on the fuel consumption calculated by the fuel consumption acquisition unit 3 and the proper fuel consumption; and an interface unit 9 for notifying determination result information outputted by the economical operation level determination unit 8.
