Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spatial image performance device capable of allowing an observer to view a spatial image in a more realistic mode, a method for controlling the same, and a program.SOLUTION: A smoke generator 16 is provided near a real object 31. A reproduction control unit controls the smoke generator 16 representing a kind of environmental performance means, in order to control apparent roughness of the real object 31, according to information relating to apparent roughness of a spatial image 3 included in reproduction environment information. The reproduction control unit transmits controlled information including the amount of smoke generation, a smoke generation place or the like to the smoke generator. The smoke generator 16 allows smoke 161 to be generated in reproduction environment on the basis of the controlled information obtained from the reproduction control unit. Apparent roughness of the real object 31 increases due to that an outline or details of the real object 31 become difficult to be seen and blurred because of the smoke 161. Accordingly, the smoke 161 controls apparent roughness of the real object 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
