Abstract:
A hybrid vehicle capable of maintaining a charging state of a battery and prolonging the EV driving time is provided. The hybrid vehicle is provided with a third electrical storage device (33) supplying power to a motor generator, a high voltage BMS (16) for detecting the charging state of the third electrical storage device, and an HCU (10). The HCU performs power operation control and electricity generation control only in a situation that the driving force of an engine is utilized to response to a driving request from a driver and the driving force of the motor generator is set to be zero so as to meet the driving request. During the power operation control, electricity of the third electrical storage device allows the motor generator to perform power operation so that power outputted from the motor generator to a driving wheel (5) is zero. During the electricity generation control, the motor generator is allowed to generate electricity even when a charging request to the third electrical storage device does not exit, and therefore a charging state in which the charging amount of the third electrical storage device detected by the high voltage BMS is a preset value or above is achieved.
