Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote a further narrow frame formation of a planar lighting device and assure a high size accuracy and a superior assembly characteristic.SOLUTION: A thickness of a part of a light guide plate 12 along an end surface 12f of principal surfaces 12a, 12b is defined by a protrusion 12 part Pr and a recess Cn. A size accuracy in a thickness direction of a part along the end surface 12f of the principal surfaces 12a, 12b of the light guide plate 12 is assured by the protrusion 12Pr and the recess Cn, a shading sheet 20 arranged over an outer edge part of an optical sheet 18 and an upper surface 16a of a housing frame 16 is not lifted up by an outer edge part of the optical sheet 18. Accordingly, a contact surface of the shading sheet 20 against the upper surface 16a of the housing frame 16 is not decreased and a fixing of the shading sheet 20 in respect to the upper surface 16a of the housing frame 16 is positively carried out.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
