Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust heat recovery system that can efficiently perform the engine warming while restricting increase in cost.SOLUTION: An exhaust heat recovery system of an engine comprises: an EGR passage configured so as to recycle EGR gas, which is at least part of exhaust gas, to an intake passage from an exhaust passage; a water-cooled EGR cooler provided along the EGR passage and below a cylinder liner by building-in it or attaching it directly to a cylinder block for heat exchanging; an exhaust shutter provided on the downstream side of a branch point branching to the EGR passage from the exhaust passage with adjustable opening; and a control device that regulates the flow rate of the EGR gas to the water-cooled EGR cooler by controlling the opening of the exhaust shutter on the closing side during the warming and that is configured so as to control the opening of the exhaust shutter on the opening side after the warming.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
