Abstract:
A control unit (70) controls an inert-gas supply unit (90) at at least a point in time when a metal pipe material (14) is heated by a heating mechanism (50), such that the surface of the metal pipe material (14) held in an internal space of a blow moulding die (13) by a pipe holding mechanism (30) enters a state of being exposed to an inert gas. In the internal space of the blow moulding die (13), the surface of the metal pipe material (14) is in a state of being exposed to the inert gas, and thus, when the heating mechanism (50) performs heating, oxidization of the surface of the metal pipe material (14) can be inhibited. As a result, blow moulding can be performed while inhibiting the formation of an oxidized layer on the surface of the metal pipe material (14).
