PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer capable of improving printing control.SOLUTION: A thermal printer 1 includes a thermal head 21 which performs printing on matter-subjected-to-printing moved in a direction of movement, and a printing control part 111 which generates a plurality of printing start signals from a single printing instruction signal input from the outside and which controls the thermal head 21 so that printing data can be printed on a plurality of locations in the direction of the movement of the matter-subjected-to-printing, on the basis of the plurality of generated printing start signals.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
