Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an organic ferroelectric crystal thin film consisting of an organic low molecules having a polarization direction component in a direction perpendicular to the main surface of the thin film.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an organic ferroelectric crystal thin film comprises: a solution applying step of applying a solution 4 having an organic ferroelectric compound dissolved into a solvent on the main surface of a flat substrate 1; and a moving step of moving a blade plate 7 so as to sweep the top of the main surface in one direction at an edge portion 7' of the blade plate 7 while arranging the edge portion 7' along the main surface to interpose the solution 4 between the substrates 1 and the vicinity of the edge portion 7 and growing the organic ferroelectric compound into a crystal in the moving direction of the blade plate 7 to form a film while evaporating the solvent to crystallize the organic ferroelectric compound 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
