Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy in a simple evaluation of display quality and the like of a vehicular head-up display (HUD).SOLUTION: An evaluation support apparatus performs: obtaining respective pieces of information from a storage part storing the respective pieces of information, the information including three-dimensional information of a vehicle 52 mounted with an evaluation-target vehicular HUD, three-dimensional information of an article (e.g., other vehicles 60A-60C) that includes a road existing in a virtual space where the vehicle 52 is made to travel in, three-dimensional information of a display zone of the vehicular HUD, and information on a display content to be displayed in the display zone of the vehicular HUD; computing a spherical projection image 70 that is produced by projecting an article visually recognized from a pre-set view point position 66 of an occupant of the vehicle 52 traveling in the virtual space and the display content to be displayed in the display zone of the vehicular HUD on the basis of the obtained information, in one-point perspective, at the view point position 66 as reference point, on a virtual sphere 68 that has a radius equivalent to a distance between the view point position 66 and the vehicular HUD, and a center point being at the view point position 66 of the occupant; and causing a display part to projection-display the computed spherical projection image 70.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
