PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent media from being illegally extracted.SOLUTION: A bank note processing device 1 comprises: an operation part 6, which accepts an operation relating to a bank note BL; a storage housing 20, which has a storage space for storing the bank note BL inside and has a loading opening 22 for access from outside to a bank note storage space 42; a storage door 26, which opens or closes the loading opening 22; a cylinder lock 32, which restricts opening of the loading opening 22; an illegal act detection part 44, which is formed on a side face of the storage door 26 on the bank note storage space 42 side and located on a straight line between outside and the bank note storage space 42 at least at a clearance between the storage door 26 and the storage housing 20 when a part of the storage door 26 separates from the storage housing 20 while the cylinder lock 32 is in locked state, is disposed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
