Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure a degree of deterioration with time in a light-emitting element, to control a luminance of the light-emitting element with high accuracy based on the measured degree and to suppress increase in power consumption.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device comprises: a light-emitting element 3; a correction control part 41a which performs control in such a manner that luminance reduction caused by deterioration with time in the light-emitting element 3 is corrected in an intermittent manner by a power supply current which is supplied to the light-emitting element 3; and correction processing parts A(43) and B(41b) for performing correction processing based on an instruction of the correction control part 41a. The correction control part 41a performs control in such a manner than an intermission period for correcting the power supply current in an intermittent manner becomes longer gradually. The correction processing parts A(43) and B(41b) measure impedance of the light-emitting element 3 from a value of the power supply current that flows through the light-emitting element 3, and correct the power supply current in accordance with a change with time in the impedance of the light-emitting element 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
