Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method capable of mass-producing a cross-linking silicon compound including a silsesquioxane skeleton having a molecular weight in a fixed range at the main chain of a silicon based polymer.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a cross-linking silicon compound where a silsesquioxane unit-containing compound represented by Formula (1) is brought into an equilibrium polymerization reaction with either or both of a linear siloxane unit compound and a cyclic siloxane unit compound, including an aging step where aging is performed to the silsesquioxane unit-containing compound which is a raw material of a cross-linking silicon compound and to the feed total mass of either or both of the linear siloxane unit compound and the cyclic siloxane unit compound in the presence of water of 0.5 to 15 mass%, in which the aging step is performed so as to be held to a temperature of above 0 to below 100°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None
