Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst layer for a fuel cell, which includes SnOcarriers, and which enables the use of in a wide range of humidity environments and enables the exhibition of a high power generation performance in a range from a low load to a high load.SOLUTION: A catalyst layer for a fuel cell according to the present invention comprises: a catalyst complex with platinum or a platinum alloy supported on the surface of each SnOcarrier; and an ionomer which is a polymer covering the catalyst complex and having proton conductivity. The ratio (I/MO) of a mass (I) of the ionomer to a mass (MO) of the SnOcarriers is in a range of 0.10-0.12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
