Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: a power generation region of a suitable humidity region is small in a single cell of a fuel cell using a resin frame.SOLUTION: A single cell comprises: a membrane catalyst layer assembly including an electrolyte membrane, a first catalyst layer, and a second catalyst layer; a first gas diffusion layer arranged on a surface on the first catalyst layer side of the membrane catalyst layer assembly and having a smaller outer shape than the membrane catalyst layer assembly; a second gas diffusion layer arranged on a surface of the second catalyst layer side of the membrane catalyst layer assembly and having a larger outer shape than the first gas diffusion layer; and a frame-like seal member formed with a first through hole and surrounding a periphery of the first diffusion layer. The seal member comprises a second through hole for supplying a cathode gas, a third through hole for supplying an anode gas, and a fourth through hole arranged at least between the first through hole and the second through hole or between the first through hole and the third through hole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
